If you’re of a certain age, you might remember the dubious pleasure of polishing your parents’ silver flatware before a big dinner. Rub, rub, rub… elbow grease was, and still is, the best way to get tarnish off silver or silver plate.
That said, there’s good news for the next generation: If you’re careful about how you store your silver, it’ll tarnish a lot less. That starts with never tossing it into the dishwasher.
