Luxury pen maker Ferrari da Varese designs a limited edition pen for the supercar manufacturer Bugatti. Designed by Luigi Trenti the pen draws inspiration from the sinuous lines of the Bugatti Veyron while remaining a wholly independent Bugatti design. Styling cues taken from the automobile include a re-envisioned Veyron door handle as the clip on the pen cap, and the complex curves of the barrel sink into the pen’s body reminiscent of the air intakes following the Veryon body.
The aluminum body has a subtle variety of finishes and coatings which include nickel, silver , palladium and platinum that work together to create a refined and rich luster to showcase the pen’s form. 18-kt gold coated in rhodium make up the nib of the writing instrument.
A sapphire glass window into the body of the pen provides a view to reveal the ink level held within. Adorned with an oval ruby stone and the Bugatti logo the pen exudes and understated extravagance. Produced in limited quantities of only 499 roller balls and 499 fountain pens each of which sell for $15,000.

I have a Cigno fountain pen by Ferrari da Varese and I love it. Looks like I’ll have to hunt one of these down now.
